Mikie Sherrill wins in a LANDSLIDE!

Let's Celebrate!

Mikie Sherrill is now our Governor Elect, the No Kings Rally was a huge success and Democrats are making headway in Ocean County.  So on Veterans Day we had a Celebration at the Arlington in Ship Bottom. Congressional candidates Bayly Winder, Tim Alexander and Terri Reese, joined over 70 attendees to celebrate, hold discussions and listen to the great music.

A good time was had by all!

854 citizens gathered on Saturday for a peaceful No Kings rally in Ship Bottom NJ.

The vibe was joyful and friendly. The weather was perfect. Sunshine all day,

Dogs and babies, canes and walkers. Inflatable chickens, dinosaurs and

even a unicorn were present to demonstrate our position on current policies

and our enduring love for America. God Bless America and

America the Beautiful were sung and celebrated by all.

We would also like to give a special THANK YOU to the Ship Bottom

Police Department for their help and support.

Republicans Slash New Jersey Beach Replenishment Funding

Thanks to the Republican led Federal Appropriations Legislation $0 Federal dollars allocated in 2025 for beach nourishment along the Jersey Shore, including LBI.

  • Historically, Congress allocated $100million to $200 million annually, with NJ Shore projects regularly supported in that range.
  • The House Appropriations Committee has proposed continuing major cuts, approving just ~$60million for FY2026, far below past levels.

LBI-Specific Nourishment Efforts:

  • Current beach replenishment projects are being completed from previously awarded federal contract.  However, no new federal replenishment funds have been allocated beyond that contract for 2025 or FY2026 planning, making future nourishment dependent on local/state action and Congressional intervention.
